RESPECT RULES.
We, the Nardoo Admin, hope that agistors will enjoy the peaceful
and safe environment provided by Nardoo Equestrian Park.
However, Nardoo is a private property and antisocial or
threatening behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. Anne and
Ken Greenwood, as owners, have the authority, enforceable by
law, to ask anybody to remove themselves, their horse(s) and
property from Nardoo, at any time, at their absolute discretion.
SAFTY RULES AND CARE OF HORSES
All agistors must:
wear an approved helmet and suitable footwear when riding,
maintain a high standard of care for their horse(s). Agistors need to
ensure that their horse(s) are properly fed and provided with
regular drenching, footcare and dental care. Horses also need to be
regularly checked for injury and illness, ride with at least one other
person when riding in open spaces (roads, tracks and in the cross-
country paddock), for safety reasons, have current ambulance
insurance. If an agistor is injured, an ambulance will be
automatically called, at the agistor’s cost.
RESPECT FOR OTHER AGISTORS AND RESIDENTS
All agisters must:
never intrude into a fenced residential area or another person’s
paddock or tack room (unless you share), without permission,
never touch or handle another person’s horse or property without
permission (unless it is an emergency) respect the rights of
Residents, Manager and all other agistors on the property to peace,
quiet and safety.
OPERATIONAL RULES
All agistors must:
respect the physical facilities and infrastructure of Nardoo and
report any damage to the Manager, always observe the 20km/h
speed limit when driving on roads and tracks. Vehicles must
always give way to pedestrians, horses and cattle.
NOT smoke on the property (because of the very real and serious
fire risk), not interfere with electrified fence wire, tape or switches.
The object of electrified fence wire is to encourage animals to keep
away from the physical fence and reduce the risk of damage to
both animals and the fences. Only switch off an electric fence in an
emergency. Agistors are not permitted to hook up their own
“temporary” electric fence to the Nardoo electric fence system.
Please report any damage or disfunction to the Manager, pay your
Nardoo Equestrian Park Tax Invoice promptly each month, making
sure that you include unambiguous identification which will
associate the payment with you.
Pick up, and dispose to allocated places, all of your horse’s manure
from public places (riding arenas roadways and laneways), never
park vehicles in positions which obstruct roads or laneways, tether
horses in a Holding Yard for veterinary and farrier care. Do not
block a road or track or stand the horse in the car park, make sure
that all your rubbish and waste stays in your vehicle and is taken
off-property with you, especially large and bulky items like
damaged rugs. Nardoo has the maximum number of Council bins
and these are needed for the disposal of rubbish from the four
residences, not feed horses in the car park, laneways, the wash bay
or gravelled areas. It is unsafe and we do not want organic matter
accumulating in Public Areas. Feed your horse(s) in the day yards
of your (private) paddock. not groom or saddle up inside the stable
(temporary tack area). Never leave a horse in a lane way for
grazing (or any other reason), or anywhere else, other than the
horse’s own paddock.
Only ride in permitted riding areas (arenas, roads, tracks and the
cross-country paddock). Vacant horse/cattle paddocks are being
rested for the pasture to regenerate, lunge horses in an arena or in
their own paddock. Horses are not to be lunged in a vacant
paddock, remove horse manure, jumps and poles form arenas after
each use. The Manager has been asked by us to cancel the weekly
arena rake if there is manure or equipment on the sand, provide
paperwork to Anne before a Riding Coach/Instructor/horse trainer
is permitted to help you at Nardoo. We need evidence of current
Professional Indemnity Insurance and also current Public Liability
Insurance before the person is allowed to provide services at
Nardoo
NARDOO ADMIN POLICIES:
After heavy rain, the Outdoor Arena will be locked and
unavailable for use. This is to prevent the surface becoming
pugged up and boggy.
Agistors who wish to change paddocks can only do so on the first
day of the month and only if there is a good reason and Anne has
agreed to the change,
The only dogs permitted on the property are those belonging to
residents. These dogs must be kept within the residence boundary
fence, or on a leash when taken out for a walk.
If an agister fails to pay his/her monthly Invoice in full, for
whatever reason, all services and provision of Round Bales will be
stopped until the Monthly Invoice is fully paid.
If a pattern of non or partial payment of the Invoices emerges, the
agistor will be asked to leave the property, and their bond will be
used to offset their debt.
Wilful (criminal) damage to Nardoo property and theft will be
referred to the Police to deal with.
Shed lights and flood lights should be used when visibility is poor.
However, lights must be turned off when leaving a building /area.
Labelled , dedicated wheelbarrows and rakes are located at the
Day Yards and the outdoor arena. These marked poo-pick-up
equipment are to be used at the Day Yards/Out door Arena only.
These marked barrows and rakes are for public areas only, and
must not be used by agistors to clean Private Paddocks.
